Maintenance Methods for Half Masks, Full Face Masks, and Filter Cartridges

① Storage and Care

  • Inspect the mask components before use and replace any damaged parts.
  • Regularly check the filter cartridges and replace them when necessary.
  • Improper storage may shorten the lifespan of respiratory protection products and compromise their protective effectiveness.

As shown in the image below(incorrect storage way):

To ensure longevity and effectiveness, store respiratory protection products in a clean plastic bag and place them in a personal toolbox or designated storage area. The storage environment should be well-ventilated, clean, and dry.

② Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning Guidelines:
a) Clean the mask using soap and water or a neutral detergent. Do not use organic or corrosive solvents.
b) Rinse the mask thoroughly with clean water, paying special attention to removing all soap residue from the exhalation valve to prevent corrosion. If possible, rinse the exhalation valve repeatedly with running water.
c) Allow the mask to air dry or wipe it with a lint-free cloth. Warm air below 40°C may be used to speed up drying. Do not use an oven or high-temperature drying equipment, as this may cause rubber components to age prematurely.

Maintenance:

  • Perform routine inspections of the product on a monthly basis.
  • Check the mask skirt, sealing area, head straps, exhalation valve, and inhalation valve for scratches, dents, small holes, cracks, nicks, or deformations due to aging, heat exposure, or contamination.
  • If any of these issues are found, replace the defective components or contact the supplier for repairs.
