Selection and Use of Protective Clothing(Disposable Coverall)
Protective clothing is classified into the following four levels according to its different applications:
Level A | Level B | Level C | Level D |
---|---|---|---|
Air-tight chemical protective suit | Chemical protective suit with large splash resistance | Chemical protective suit with small splash resistance | Ordinary protective clothing |
General requirements: It needs to be used in conjunction with an air respirator and chemical protective boots and gloves; Main application: It is used when the highest level of respiratory and skin hazards coexist simultaneously, as well as in unknown dangerous environments. | General requirements: It needs to be used in conjunction with an air respirator and chemical protective boots and gloves; Main application: It is used for the highest level of respiratory hazards and lower skin hazards that coexist simultaneously. | General requirements: It generally needs to be used in conjunction with a filtering air breathing device and chemical protective boots and gloves; Main application: It is used for lower respiratory hazards and lower skin hazards that coexist simultaneously. Main application: Dust protection, and splashes of a small amount of low-concentration chemical liquid. | General requirements: It is suitable for a general working environment and provides the most basic protective effect against harmful dust and chemical reagents that the user may come into contact with. Main application: Dust protection. |
European Standard Classification of Protective Clothing
European Protective Clothing Type | Description | Mark | Application Environment |
---|---|---|---|
Type 1 (EN943-1, EN943-2) | Air-tight protective clothing | It is used in the most dangerous environment where both respiratory and skin hazards coexist simultaneously, and is an indispensable emergency material in chemical production, fire fighting and other dangerous environments. | |
Type 2 (EN942-1) | Non-air-tight protective clothing | ||
Type 3 (EN14605) | Liquid-tight protective clothing | It is used in pressure washing operations, tank/chemical container cleaning operations, agricultural spraying operations and pesticide treatment, chemical mixture preparation (low toxicity), acid and alkali chemical operations. | |
Type 4 (EN14605) | Spray-tight protective clothing | It is used in chemical product handling, chemical waste treatment, emergency incident handling, polluted environment treatment, etc. | |
Type 5 (ENISO13982-1 (&2)) | Protective clothing against solid particulate matter | It is used in harmful dust and low-level chemical liquid splashes, asbestos dust, insulation material installation, wood and metal processing. | |
Type 6 (EN13034) | Protective clothing against mild chemical liquid splashes | It is used in general maintenance and cleaning operations, and other ordinary industrial operations. |
Descriptions of Other European Standards
